LEVEL 3
forging your own Path
At this level, CPD is all about you making the choices that will most benefit you in whatever you want to do next. You are not limited to the resources provided by the university, and in fact we encourage you to look further afield and search out activities and events that interest you. By choosing to engage in activities that best fit your goals you will get the most benefit out of the CPD module, including:
- The time to focus on what is important to your own development
- The opportunity to determine your career path following your degree – you do need to think about this now – there is a timeline!
- The skills/knowledge you need to be successful.
- Enables you to be in the best position to achieve your career goal at the end of your degree.
- Increases your confidence in your ability to secure a graduate role/Masters/further study/your own business.
- CPD is important in business – enable you to think beyond graduation which employers expect!
- Your new e-portfolio is an artefact that showcases you and your skills.
WHERE NEXT?
First, look at the pathways/streams below which provide some suggested CPD activities for common post-graduation goals. The key here is to choose what you want to do after graduation and begin selecting development activities that will support you in reaching your goals.
In addition to the suggestions below, you can also search the online activities catalogue for relevant opportunities, review the upcoming events, or search elsewhere for external activities.
Remember that you can find out how many CPD points you can claim for external activities on the FAQs page.
