CIPD PRESENTS: Getting comfortable with numbers

About the event

Be it people data of financial data, working with numbers is now a key element to the people practitioner role. As a profession, we can no longer rely on the old saying “I came into HR because I like people, not numbers.”. In order for us to progress individually and as a profession to change this saying, working with numbers and data is essential. This friendly workshop is to introduce you to the concept of numbers that we can use within our roles and how this understanding can build on your influence as a commercially aware people professional.

The session will discuss the data that is available to us a people professional, an introduction to financial statements and the questions to ask within your organization, what people data is and how we can use this to build credibility and finally linking financial and people data to build evidence-based practice.
